More skilled and powerful users can use water-related weather such as blizzards and rainstorms. Some users are able to completely control the temperature of the water at will. Calypso is not that skilled yet. Limitations: May need to be around the element in order for the power to be successfully executed. Can use the water/moisture/humidity in the air, but not as effectively due to smaller amounts. That said, distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user, and their power's natural limits. User cannot control and manipulate great bodies of water (ponds, lakes, seas, oceans) due to youth and inexperience. | Origin Story | Origin Story: Born in Buffalo, NY and raised in a suburb, Hayden spent her summers living on the wild side. Well, as much of a wild side as one could find in a Buffalo suburb. She tried to sneak off to the city several time with her friends, but was caught by her one of her parents each time. Her mutant abilities manifest at the age of fourteen and her parents weren't quite sure what to do. But the one thing they didn't do was give up on her. Getting through school was becoming rough for Hayden. She had very little control, if any, over her abilities. One time they went off when she was at the water fountain. It scared her and those around her. Then they started making fun of her and calling her a freak. She got angrier and angrier until she threw her math book at the leader. In her heightened emotional state, she caused the pressure to build up until it shot the top of the fountain off. The pressurized water followed the math book and hit him in the stomach. The guy folded and it was enough for her to get away. This went on for much longer than it should have before Hayden decided that the best thing to do would be runaway. It was then, as always, that her parents caught her before she could sneak out of the house. They told her that they'd never give up on her and they would all work together to try to find a way. Several days later, Kenneth and Sandra entertained some visitors and Hayden was soon bound for Salem Center, New York. |
