Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Gwen’s a sweet, cheerful girl who always seems to have a smile on her face–even when she really, really should not–and rarely gets angry, even in combat. She has a dark, bitter sense of humor that seems to sustain her endless optimism and takes feral glee in violence when patience and compassion fail. Gwen loves deeply and ferociously; she tends to be protective of the people she cares for, and overprotective with people she doesn’t feel can take care of themselves. She possesses an irrepressible curiosity and a passion for life, and refuses to believe there’s anyone who couldn’t be her friend–given enough time and patience, which unfortunately aren’t always in supply. |
| Mutant Power(s) | Agility (2): Gwen possesses superhuman agility, allowing her to move with extraordinary balance, coordination, and reflexes far beyond normal human limits. Her body reacts almost instinctively in combat and movement, enabling impossible acrobatics, rapid evasions, precise landings, and fluid navigation through complex environments. Energy Constructs: Gwen has the ability to form energy constructs that possess physical mass and durability. Due to the burning and eerie heat created by the objects, she has dubbed it “hellfire”. Her most common creation are “razorbats”, which are sharp projectile bats that slice through targets before dissolving into embers and smoke. Gwen also creates a blazing glider that she has titled her “goblin glider”. Using the glider Gwen as the ability to fly and deliver aerial attacks. |
| Profession(s) | “Student”, “medical engineer”, “girlboss”; Gwen absorbed a lot of her mother’s memory implants telepathically in the womb. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Nerves of adamantium Deeply empathetic Optimism Weaknesses: Underestimated Inconsistent memories/confused relationships Hyperfixation & hyperactivity |
| Ambitions | Gwen’s primary motivation is her protective instincts. She’s fiercely protective of people she cares about, and overprotective of people she thinks can’t protect themselves. Gwen is a nurturer. She offers comfort and reassurance when people are suffering and courage and confidence when people doubt themselves. Gwen’s highest goal, though not her strongest motivation, is to become a whole person, instead of considering herself to be scattered fragments of other people. She wants her own life and her own memories, her own likes and dislikes, and her own career and family. Gwen believes that OSCORP is her birthright and blames Norman for her father’s death; taking OSCORP away from him is the sweetest and most fitting revenge she can imagine. |
| Hobbies & Interests | Gwen’s fascinated by medicine and the life sciences; her mother was programmed to infiltrate OSCORP as a researcher to get to Harry, and she’s proud of OSCORP’s legacy despite her grandfather’s tarnishing of it. Gwen loves flying and anything that goes fast; ironically, her own goblin glider just isn’t fast enough. Gwen’s a talented visual artist, drawing incredibly detailed and vibrant landscapes and cityscapes; she doesn’t know why she draws so many different pictures of the George Washington Bridge, and she’s the first to admit that she doesn’t like it. |

| Mutant Mastery | X-2 |
| Origin Story | Gwen Osborn was born as part of a bargain she was never meant to survive. Her mother, Samantha, was an engineered mutant created in one of in Sinister’s laboratories and gifted to Norman Osborn as a genetically perfected bride for his son, Harry. In exchange, Norman Osborn agreed that Harry and Samantha’s first child—designed by Sinister himself—would be surrendered to him after birth. During their marriage, Harry discovered Samantha’s telepathic abilities, and through the intimate bond they shared, the two genuinely fell in love with each other and with their unborn daughter. When Gwen was born, they refused to honor the deal of giving her back to Sinister. Their defiance forced the family into hiding. For several years Harry, Samantha, and Gwen lived on the run from Sinister and his forces until they were finally tracked down. Harry sacrificed himself holding off Sinister so Samantha could escape with Gwen. Desperate and terrified, Samantha vanished with her daughter into isolation, fleeing to somewhere even Sinister’s reach could not easily follow. Gwen’s childhood became fragmented by trauma and psychic instability. Consumed by grief, paranoia, and fear of Sinister, Samantha’s telepathy spiraled out of control, repeatedly bleeding into Gwen’s mind. The young girl was exposed to violent nightmares and intrusive visions she could never fully separate from reality. A wasteland of brimstone ruled by grotesque goblins, New York City seen from atop a towering bridge, and a cosmic bird radiating unbearable rage and fire. The images rooted themselves deep within Gwen’s psyche, leaving her unable to distinguish memory from hallucination. Through it all, however, one truth remained constant in her mind: her mother loved her unconditionally. Years later, Gwen resurfaced alone on the streets of New York City as a ragged and disoriented teenager. She wandered as a beggar, not asking strangers for food or money, but for help finding "goblins". Her erratic behavior eventually drew the attention of local gangs–including the Green Goblin inspired "Goblin Nation"– until she was rescued by a patrolling Daredevil. Recognizing that she was frightened, unstable, and clearly connected to something larger, he brought Gwen to Jessica Jones for help uncovering her identity. Jessica eventually discovered that Gwen was the long-missing daughter of the late Harry Osborn, a child long presumed dead by the Osborn family. The revelation horrified Gwen. The mere thought of returning to Norman Osborn sent her into visible distress, convincing Jessica that reuniting them would do more harm than good. Unsure how to help a homeless mutant teenager burdened by trauma, psychic instability, and a dangerous lineage, Jessica contacted Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Gwen arrived at the school carrying little more than confusion, fear, and the black leather jacket that seemed to manifest alongside her once Jessica departed. |
