Trouble Comes in Threes

Attention, all students. This is Professor Xavier. Forgive the unexpected campus-wide announcement, but recent events have forced me to institute a lockdown for the school. Effective immediately nobody may come or leave.

The reason for these drastic measures are as follows: at approximately 12 o'clock today, Senator Kelly was assassinated. The most recent reports blamed the Brotherhood. Those reports have not been updated due to a global satellite network failure. For those with loved ones, I regret that communicating with them may become all but impossible. Geomagnetic storms have been sighted, but as they increase, the world's telecommunications systems have been brought down. Telephones may work for now but nothing is guaranteed.

Additionally, I am asking that we all please observe the buddy system until further notice. I don't mean to frighten anyone but we are in uncharted waters, so to speak, and there is no telling what tomorrow may bring. Let us pray that trouble does not come in threes. We must look out for another. If we stand together, we will overcome. I wish to reiterate that my office will be open to anyone and everyone in need. That is all.
